    2011 BEHS Scrapbook

    April 29th, 2011

Many thanks to the Houston Dressage Society for the opportunity to host a booth at their horse show. The big sellers were the "Deep in the Heart" and v-neck t-shirts. We raised about $120 for BEHS! It was great getting our name out there, and many people were interested in getting involved. Thanks to Jane Blasberg for coming out to help!

    April 16 & 17th, 2011

Many thanks to the Central Texas Dressage Society! BEHS had a booth at their Bluebonnet Dressage Classic the weekend of 4/16. We raised $818 in donations, memberships, items sold and a raffle that they held for our benefit. We truly appreciate all they did for us!

March 19-21st, 2011 - Texas United for Animals - Austin, Texas

While BEHS President Jennifer Williams attended informational classes on animal rescue procedures, other members manned the booth. It was a great chance for BEHS to connect with other animal rescues and animal control personnel. Volunteers manning the booth were Carson, Mary Diane Hausman, Kim Radich, Stephanie Shea, Paula Weisskopf and Jennifer Williams.

    April 2nd, 2011 - Tractor Supply - Navasota, Texas

Navasota Tractor Supply generously offered to let BEHS have a booth out front to hand out information and collect donations for BEHS. Amy Backo and Tom Weinkauf were real troopers and worked the booth all day. Patricia Lombard joined in during the afternoon. They had a good response, handing out info and collecting donations. They said we could come out again on April 30th to do it again!

    April 2nd, 2011 - Callahan's General Store - Austin, Texas

Callahan's General Store generously offered to let BEHS have a booth out front to hand out information and collect donations. We also brought LaBlu and put her in a pen in front of the store. She brought lots of attention to the booth! BEHS collected $137.21 in donations, sales, and one new member application. BEHS volunteers running the booth were Stephanie Shea, Regina Anderson, Kelly Cooke, Christine Baleshta, Margie Sloan and Christy Ahrens. Margie graciously let us bring LaBlu, her current foster. Christy donated some extra time to the booth by trailering LaBlu to the event. It was great fun! We will be back at Callahan's before you know it!
