Name - Aspen Bio: Aspen was awarded, along with 6 other horses, by the courts to BEHS. History: : Nothing is known of Aspen's history. Health/Lameness: Aspen is partially blind in her right eye. Her "blind" eye is bothering her less and less and its become apparent as her training is progressing that she definitely has some vision in that eye. Her foster home believes that it will not be an issue for her for riding. Abilities: Aspen spent most of the summer (2011) with a a trainer being started under saddle, and he just raves about how sweet she is. She's learned to ground drive and the trainer has started her under saddle. Although green, the trainer says she's calm and quiet under saddle. She's walking, trotting, turning, stopping and backing under saddle and the trainer is working on her lope (August 2011). She's very soft in the mouth and moves off from very light leg pressure.
