Name - Astro Bio: Astro and his mother Aster were found estray by the sheriff's department. When her owners could not be located, the county turned them over to BEHS. History: : Nothing is known of Astro's history before coming to BEHS. He was about three months old when he was awarded to the rescue. Health/Lameness: Astro has no known health or lameness problems. He will need a little time with his mother and then weaned before either will be available for adoption. Abilities: Astro acts as if he has had very little handling, but like most donkeys, he is very curious. He is nearly at his ideal weight. Astro is still nursing but also eats grain, grass and hay. Astro is an adorable donkey baby. He was very good on his recent visit to the vet. He was haltered in the trailer and then allowed to follow his mother in the clinic. He did not offer to bite or kick when handled. Astro will grow up to be a standard sized donkey, and can be taught to pull a cart or simply enjoyed as a family pet. Other: |
