Bio:
Casper was seized by law enforcement and awarded to BEHS by the courts.
History: Unknown. Even thought he was gelded later in life, Casper is fitting in well with his foster home, even in a mixed herd of mares and geldings.
Health/Lameness:
None known.
Abilities:Casper has been evaluated and does not appear to have any training under saddle. We have been working on groundwork, and he now wears a saddle and bridle but has not been ridden yet. He is curious and willing, but he doesn't know much, so he needs someone that is patient and gentle to finish his training. He is at a great age to train to do just about anything.
Update January 2009:Casper is spending some time with a trainer and while she does not believe him to be broke to ride, he stood quietly for saddling and mounting. The trainer will continue to work with him and his fee will be set once he has returned and his skills have been fully evaluated.
Other: Casper reportedly jumped a fence in a previous foster's care but has not attempted to in his current foster home, even when frightened.
