Bio: Chuck was surrendered to BEHS when his owners were reported for neglect. He was severely emaciated but has always been very calm and gentle.

History: Unknown.

Health/Lameness: None known.

Abilities:  Chuck has the ability to do anything an adopter would like to train him for!

Other: Update 7/2008: Chuck has had his feet trimmed, but will need time to learn how to pick up his feet easily. He is now current on vaccs, worming and coggins and his teeth look great, no float needed. Chuck has now been ridden twice, and his foster mom reports he is absolutely the easiest horse she has ever worked with. He remembered everything from a session back in May - the Parelli ground work, the despooking course, and the under saddle work.

He has no kick, no bite, and no buck in him so far. He turns easily, stops readily, and requires some leg to move out. He no longer runs over his handler but still likes to crowd a little close at times. He jumps right in the trailer, gets along with the 2 geldings he is currently pastured with and adored being pastured with a mare temporarily.

He already has quite a fan club of admirers who have watched all the work his foster home has put into him, and are convinced he is going to be a laid back riding horse. He is not a tall guy, at just under 14 hands, but he is pretty stocky.

Chuck reportedly killed a dog at a former foster home but he has shown no aggression to dogs in his current home. Chuck has been surrounded by 4 dogs, all of whom run around the horses at times while they are being led, bark at each other, and in general act like a bunch of dogs playing together and oblivious to how close they get to the horses. Chuck has never so much as twitched an ear during all this
