Bio: Ebony was surrendered to BEHS when her owners were investigated for neglect. She was malnourished and scared of humans.

History: Ebony's history before coming to BEHS is unknown. We suspect she was not treated well as she's very leery of new people and scared in new situations. She was adopted in 2007 and returned to BEHS. In Feb. 2011. While with her adopters, she was a pet and companion to other horses.

Health/Lameness: None known.

Abilities: Ebony does not appear to be broke to ride, but her foster home is riding her bareback at a walk and will continue to work with her. From Feb. 2007 - Feb. 2011, she was kept as a pet and not ridden. Before then, she was started on ground work and was carrying a saddle. She is very slow to trust new humans, so any adopter must first be willing to win her trust and then work with her.

Other: She has also demonstrated that she is a very dominant alpha mare and she does kick to establish her dominance.
