Height - 15.2 hands Registration -Not available Color/Markings - Bay with four white socks, blaze and snip

Bio: Hermes was part of a large neglect case. He was removed in a joint effort between BEHS and
three other agencies. He was placed with BEHS by the courts.
History: : Prior to coming to BEHS, nothing is known of Hermes' history. He was adopted shortly
after arriving, but was returned through no fault of his own.
Health/Lameness: Hermes has no known health or lameness issues.
Abilities: Hermes is a big, beautiful Arabian gelding. He is easy to catch
in the field, leads well, stands tied and is good for the farrier/hoof trimmer. He stands well to be saddled and ridable. He longes at the walk,
trot and canter. His previous adopter rode him in the round pen and arena and out on trails. At his current foster home, he's been ridden several
times and is doing great. He was used as part of a roping demonstration at the 2011 Bluebonnet Horse Expo - and although he had never been roped off
before, he did great! The clinician even stood on his back and roped! He's a gorgeous, big mover and he has huge potential.
Other: When Hermes was first returned to the rescue, he had trailering
issues: he loaded well but began to kick as soon as the divider or trailer door was closed. He is now loading and standing quietly, but we feel he
would do best with an adopter who understands his former fear and trailered him carefully. |
