Name - Hope Bio: Hope was surrendered to BEHS when her owners were investigated for neglect. At that time, she was malnourished but she has since recovered. History: Her previous owner said she was broke to ride, and her foster home feels that's possible. Health/Lameness: Hope came to BEHS blind in her left eye. On April 13, 2009, her left eye was removed after it atrophied over time. Her vision loss does not seem to bother her. Abilities:Hope's foster home feels someone spent time working with her earlier in her life. She leads, stands tied, stands well for grooming and the farrier. Her foster home will soon start working with her under saddle to see what she knows. Other: Hope is protective of her blind side. She will not eat unless she can see what is going on around her. She is sweet and loving and needs a forever home with someone who can love her. |
