Height - 15 hands Registration None available Color/Markings - Sorrel and white tobiano paint markings Arrived: 5/19/2011
Bio: Jericho was an estray horse and though the Sheriff department and the people who
found him tried hard to find his owner, they were unsuccessful. Jericho was awarded to BEHS.
History: : Nothing is known of Jericho’s history.
Health/Lameness: Jericho has no known health or lameness issues.
Abilities: Jericho didn't appear to have much training when he came to BEHS,
but he's progressing well with his foster home. Jericho's foster home has taught him to walk, trot and canter under saddle both in a round pen and in
an arena. He's still green, but he won the Experienced Foster Home division of the 2011 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. With more training,
he's going to make someone a gorgeous riding horse.
Other: Update September 2011: Jericho has learned to live life as a
gelding and the occasional bad behaviors he exhibited upon arrival have ceased. He has learned to give all four feet and is good for the farrier. Jericho's
foster home has been riding him both in a round pen and out in pasture at a walk and a trot and he has been quiet and willing under saddle. Although dominant
around other geldings, Jericho is not aggressive and has learned to live pastured close to mares without trouble. Jericho has blossomed into a big, stout,
ranch-type gelding anyone would be proud to own. |
