Name - Katie Bio: Katie was surrendered to BEHS when her owner was being investigated for neglect. She has not been handled but is extremely young and will learn quickly. Her mom is BEHS #207 Brandy. History: Nothing is known of her background. Health/Lameness: She has a cut on the right back leg and left side. Hopefully with vet care these will heal to be un-noticeable. Abilities:She is only 3 weeks old and should be able to do anything when older. Katie will be weaned from her mom in a couple months and go up for adoption. It is possible that she will not be a large mare since her mom is small. Update Feb 2007: She hasn't been halter trained yet and isn't completely convinced yet that people are good. She let me pet her after she saw the other horses coming for treats and she is really soft and fuzzy. She also tried a treat, but peppermint flavor isn't on her favorites list yet. We aren't sure to what color she is going to shed out, but right now her coloring is really neat. Other: |
