Name - Kiley Breed - Quarter Horse Gender - Mare DOB
- Approximately 2004 Height - 14.0 Registration
- None Color/Markings - Brown, small star on forehead
Arrived: 10/04/07
Bio:
Kiley was picked up as a stray by Pearland Animal Control and then placed with BEHS to rehabilitate and rehome. She was severely emaciated when animal control found her.
History: Nothing is known of her background.
Health/Lameness:
Kiley has a corneal scar on her left eye and some adhesions on her iris from an injury that likely occurred before she came to BEHS. Her vision may be diminished on that side.
Abilities:Kiley's foster home has handled her quite a bit and does not believe she's broke to ride. However, since she is only four years old, she is open to almost anything an adopter would like to teach her to do.
Other: Once caught, Kiley leads easily and loads into a trailer like a pro. However, she does have some trust issues that her foster mom is working through using Ttouch and Parelli methods. Kiley is very
intelligent, and with consistent handling, should come around and be able to
do anything a potential adopter would want to do with her.
Update 4/2008: Kiley has mellowed significantly since she first came
to foster care. She still startles at sudden movements, but is now very
comfortable with daily handling and grooming.
