Name - Lily Breed - Grade Gender - Mare DOB - Approx. 2005
Height - 15 hands Registration - None known Color/Markings - Dark bay with snip and star Arrived: 3/11/2009
Bio: Lily was awarded, along with 6 other horses, by the courts to BEHS.
History: Nothing is known of Lily's history.
Health/Lameness: None known.
Abilities: Lily was just started under saddle in
February 2010 and is very green. However she’s sweet and willing and a great age to train.
By her 6th ride, she had been ridden down the road and been ridden around cattle in the
pasture. She loves being ridden into the pond and will happily go up to her belly with a
rider on her. She crosses a small wooden bridge without a second look, goes through the
ditches, and happily rides through the woods, through narrow spaces. She has also been ridden
near flapping flags, over white trotting poles in the arena and up to trash cans and
mailboxes. She walks happily on the buckle. After only 6 rides she is definitely still green
and would need an experienced rider or trainer to continue to bring her on. Her training with
BEHS will continue as we start to work more on leg aids and transitions. Since starting her
under saddle, she has become an even nicer horse generally, becoming easier to catch and
much more inquisitive. Her foster home thinks that she would make an excellent trail horse or with
some more training a cute hunter/jumper.
