Bio:
Several agencies, including Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society, got involved when 21 horses, including Nike, were found in inadequate living conditions and were donated and divided among the various agencies.
History: Nothing is known of her background. Health/Lameness: None known. Abilities:Nike was not handled as a youngster and is now learning basic ground work in her foster home . Nike tolerates fly spray and some grooming. She will stand to have the front half of her body sprayed with water but you have to go slowly with her. Nike does fine stalled or turned out and mostly keeps to herself. She has no problems with the goats and chickens in her foster home. Other: Nike needs an experienced handler at this time but with consistent, daily work should come around in time. She's a smart, reasonable mare, who just lets her fear get the best of her at times. She wore a blanket in the colder months with no problem. |
