Bio: Pixie's owner bought one stallion and two mares
and turned them lose to run on his property. Eventually, he had a large herd of untamed
ponies. He needed to cut back on his herd and asked rescues to take them. Pixie had not
been handled by humans before BEHS picked her up.
History: Pixie lived as a feral (wild)
pony before coming to Bluebonnet. She had not been handled by humans at all.
Health/Lameness:
None known.
Abilities:
Since she had not been handled before coming to BEHS, Pixie arrived very wild and scared of people.
Her foster home has worked to gain her trust, and she reports that Pixie is still timid but she
has a curious side and is interested in being near her "foster mom". Her foster "mom" rub all over her to
her legs without having a halter on and she will come up to her and let her scratch her in the pasture.
She tends to be more standoffish when other people are around, but she went up to children at her foster home
and ate treats out of their hands. She wants badly to please, but she isn't sure how. She should be a very nice
pony for an adopter who is willing to invest some time.
