Bio:
Pockets was seized from a negligent owner in a cooperative effort between BEHS and local law enforcement and then awarded to BEHS. He is smart and enjoys human company. He listens well and we believe he’ll be a great riding pony when he’s gelded and trained.
History: Unknown.
Health/Lameness: None known - although he does have many scars on
his body.
Abilities: Pocket's foster home has been working with him under saddle and he's progressing nicely. He has been ridden him several times in the round pen and out into the pasture for a ride. He did quite well. He's going to make a really nice horse for someone, probably for an experienced young person or small woman (he's not a big horse).
Other: The farrier has had no trouble trimming his feet. Pockets went with another BEHS member to an event in Texarkana and loaded onto the trailer without hesitation (and tolerated a bath before the trip). When we last dewormed him with paste dewormer he took it like a dream.
