Name - Romo Breed - Mustang Gender - Gelding DOB - Approx. 2002
Height - 15.2 hands Registration None available Color/Markings - Sorrel with full blaze and two front socks Arrived: 2/19/2011
Bio: Romo and 11 other horses were part of a cruelty seizure in NE Texas. Romo and his herdmates
were awarded to BEHS by the courts.
History: : Nothing is known of Romo’s history.
Health/Lameness: Romo has no known health or lameness issues.
Abilities: Romo has had a handful of rides in his foster home. After one round pen session,
he stood for the saddle, a little nervous the first time, but a doll the second. Romo has been ridden over tarps, ground poles, drug a rope and worked in the pasture outside
of the round pen and he did great. Ride number three involved nice trotting and leg yields. He’s very skittish about a lot of things and will need someone who can do daily
ground work with him.
Other: Romo has some old scars on his back legs that appear to be rope burns. He is still a
little touchy about his hind feet when trimmed, but if the farrier moves slowly he is a doll. He mostly tolerates fly-spray, is a little jumpy at first but stands politely after
you get going! Romo has really come out of his shell in the past months and seeks out attention from humans. |
