Bio: Sadie was seized by law enforcement. She and pasture mates were left without water.
History: Nothing is known of her background.
Health/Lameness:
None known or visible.
Abilities:Sadie is leery of people, but is very level headed. She appears to have had little handling before coming to BEHS.
Update May 2008: Sadie has come around beautifully. She is now very easy to catch; in fact, she now will walk up to you. She has definitely been handled in the past. She likes to be groomed and was no problem to trim. Her feet were in pretty bad shape. Sadie's foster mom has been playing the seven games with her and if all goes well will try putting some tack on her soon.
Update July 2008: Sadie is also doing well health wise she continues to be 1200 lbs. She is very "hit and miss" on being caught. Once caught she is no problem.
Other: If she was ever ridden it was some time ago. She remains leery of anything on her back. She doesn't seem to be that up tight about something around her girth, i.e. weight tape, rope. I have not tightened a girth on her. She has no foot soreness and bears full weight on every leg.
