Name - Skye Bio: Skye was removed from a negligent owner and placed with BEHS. While BEHS was still holding her, awaiting her court date, Skye gave birth to Tori but rejected her. History: Skye was used as a broodmare, but nothing else is known of her past. Health/Lameness: None known. Abilities: She has been ridden in a round pen and did well, but she has not yet been ridden outside a round pen. She's young enough and smart and will make someone a great riding horse. Other: Skye is quite friendly and laid back. She loves treats. Her foster home has only ridden her bareback at this point, but she will saddle her up and get some new pics soon, but she seems relatively easy to handle - her foster home feels that someone put in some time training this mare at some point. Skye still has the "broodmare" belly so it will probably take some good old fashioned exercise for her to get her figure back. Update August 2008: Skye is a sweetheart...takes the bit great and stands to be saddled...I rode her and other than barn sour and needing to be ridden everyday..she knows her leads leg and rein commands..stops pretty good. |
