Name - Tessa Breed - Grade Gender - Mare DOB - 1989
Height - 15 hands Registration -Not available Color/Markings - Bay Arrived: 7/15/2009
Bio: Tessa was found estray with 5 other mares in Burleson County. The horses
were awarded to BEHS when no owner was found.
History: : Nothing is known of Tessa's history.
Health/Lameness: None known.
Abilities: She is now halter broke, and generally she can be approached and haltered in the
pasture. She will also allow a fly mask. She still can not allow me to pick up her feet. She will lift her left front foot when ask, but reaches out with her foot and begins
to paw the ground. She is not head shy now, when approached gently, and loves to be groomed. I am working on her allowing a bath but she is very leery of the hose. She tolerates
fly spray now, and if using a wipe on for flies she allows rubbing on all four legs. When she came to me she spent almost all day pacing up and down the fence in the pasture.
She has almost stopped that behavior now, but sometimes she paces for a short while. She is not food aggressive(unless another horse too close) and will follow a feed bucket
anywhere. She would make a wonderful companion horse...she is not head shy, but does shy if movements are to fast.
