Adoption Incentives
Give a Companion-Only Equine a Home
Have you thought about adopting but don't have time to ride and train another horse? Do you have a lonely horse at home who longs for equine companionship? Bluebonnet has several companion-only equines available for adoption. These horses, donkeys and mules cannot be ridden for various reasons -
but they still have plenty of love to give and deserve a loving home.
Apply to adopt during the month of June and qualify for half-price adoption fees on all horses adopted within 30 days of applying.
Our goal is to place our horses, donkeys and mules into great, loving forever homes. To help make that possible, we offer several adoption incentives. You may take advantage of one adoption incentive.
Companion Only Equines - If you adopt a BEHS equine with an adoption fee of $500 or more, you can adopt a companion-only equine for free!
Multiple Adoptions - After you adopt your first equine, BEHS will take $50 off the adoption fee of each additional equine you adopt. Foster Homes - Any foster homes who foster an equine for at least three months will receive $50 off the adoption fee of that equine if they decide to adopt.

Adoption Pending
Some horses have "Adoption Pending" next to their name. This means someone has been approved to adopt those horses. However the potential adopter has not yet adopted, and we encourage anyone who is interested in a horse with "adoption pending" to go ahead and apply. You will be placed on a waiting list for that horse and may be able to adopt him/her if the first adopter does not work out.
