Abby was removed from her negligent owner in a joint effort between BEHS and local law enforcement. When she came to BEHS, she was underweight and very shy. However thanks to a patient foster “mom”, she gained weight and blossomed into a beautiful, curious donkey.
This is another one that had a pending adoption that didn’t go through. Pearl and Abby had been together since they were seized back in 2005. Pearl is an older donkey and the two seemed to depend on one another. The other applicant wanted both, then decided on just Abby. Upon going to meet Abby, they fell in love and instantly bonded with Pearl instead and took her home, leaving Abby. This opened the door for the person next in line and that was Michelle F. Abby was taken to her new home not too long ago! Thanks and congratulations to all!
