Other

Jett will be competing under saddle in the 14 and over Non-Pro Walk/Trot/Canter division of the Bluebonnet HelpAHorse Spring Training Challenge and Adoption Event with trainer Kimberly Reyes.  He will be available for adoption starting on May 2, 2020 at the Challenge competition in Boyd, TX.  You can follow their progress on their Facebook Page.

Evaluation and Training

Jett is a 21-year-old gorgeous black gelding but don’t let his age steer you away.  He stands 13.2 and comes with a big personality.  Jett is 100% sound says his trainer for the 2020 Spring Training Challenge.  They have been working on so much.  Jett loads like a champ now and has been doing great under saddle. They have been working on basic ground work, yielding to pressure in the saddle, and doing a lay down technique.  Jett can be a bit lazy but his trainer is working on building his endurance up and getting him use to working.

He loves to be rubbed on and he is desensitized to pretty much anything.  Jett is a safe horse but also set in his ways.  He has a good disposition.  He is good with the farrier and he loves a bath.  He doesn’t buck, bite or rear and is also good with other horses.

Jett would not be suitable for a beginner and will need someone who will be consistent with his training.  He is gentle enough that an intermediate rider could do well with him though.  Jett would do best as a pleasure or trail horse.
