Vega came into BEHS in February 2007 along with Shalimar and other herdmates. The entire herd was removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS by the courts. Vega gained weight quickly and blossomed into a gorgeous little mare. She was the star of the 2007 Bluebonnet Horse Expo with Jack Liesser. It took Vega a while to find her forever home, but she was adopted in 2008. She was returned in 2014 but adopted by her new foster home just a few weeks later!
