About Colada

Colada came to BEHS from a neglect case.  Her owners surrendered her when they were investigated for neglect, and she was pregnant when she arrived.  She gave birth to a beautiful foal, Montana Blue, a few months after arriving.  After he was old enough to wean, Colada was adopted along with BEHS horse Navajo in 2009 by a wonderful family.  She was returned in 2018 when her adopters could no longer keep her.

Colada was not handled before coming to Bluebonnet.  She and her herd were running wild on a large pasture with little human interaction.  While at Bluebonnet, she had a foal (Montana Blue) and then was started under saddle.

Health / Lameness

Colada has no known health or lameness problems.

Evaluation and Training

Colada was halter broke and started under saddle while with Bluebonnet.  She spent nine years with adopters.  They rode her some, but we don’t know when they last rode her.  We’ll have her evaluated by a trainer before going up for adoption.
