Buckeye and a pasture mate were found abandoned and neglected. They were picked up in a joint effort between BEHS and law enforcement and awarded to BEHS by the courts. Buckeye’s foster home worked with him for the 2010 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. During that time, she fell in love with him and adopted him in 2011.
