Sullivan came to BEHS as part of a seizure. He had been neglected for quite some time, and he wasn’t sure people were his friends. He quickly gained weight once he got good food, but it took longer for him to like people. His foster “mom” began training and riding him and used him in the 2010 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. His adopter was at the Expo and saw him in the Challenge. She fell in love and adopted him to become her trail riding horse. She returned him in 2016 after a job change forced her to move. He was re-adopted quickly but returned because he was too much horse for his adopters.  He moved to a new foster home and they began working with him.  He fit in so well with their group and was progressing well under saddle, so they decided to adopt him!
