About Rockette

Rockette’s dam, Fancy Dancer, came to BEHS as an estray. She was pregnant when she arrived and gave us Rockette a few months after she arrived. She attended the 2015 Bluebonnet Horse Training Challenge, met an adopter, and went to a new home!  She was returned in 2017 when her adopter no longer had time to work with her.

History

Rockette was born in a BEHS foster home.

Health / Lameness

Rockette has no known health or lameness problems.

In 2014, she stepped in a hole and injured her right rear pastern.  An x-ray at the time showed no problems, but she reinjured the same pastern a few months later.  At that time, an x-ray showed a spur on the periosteum.  Her right rear pastern is very slightly swollen, but she’s shown no signs of lameness.  Her veterinarian said the spur may go away on its own.

Evaluation and Training

Rockette’s foster home has taught her to be caught, to lead, to load, and to trailer.  She stands for the farrier, fly spraying, and grooming.  Her foster home says she is easy going and gets along well with other horses.

Rockette has had great handling on the ground, and she’s now an excellent age to start under saddle.  She has the potential to do almost anything!
