Marquis was placed with Bluebonnet when his owner could not keep him.
Marquis spent the last several years as a pet. Nothing is known of his history before then.
Health / Lameness
Marquis has ringbone and an old injury in one hind leg.
He is missing a piece of his upper on the right side from an injury before he came to Bluebonnet. It does not seem to bother him.
His foster home believes he may be a Thoroughbred or Thoroughbred cross.
Evaluation and Training
Marquis does not appear to be broke to ride, so he’s available for adoption as a pet/companion. He’s a nice older guy who would enjoy petting, grooming, and attention and keeping a lonely horse company.
Marquis’ foster home says he’s very sweet, he walks up to you in the pasture, and he’s very easy to catch and halter. She says he can be a bit spooky with sudden noises or moves.
Marqus’ foster home also says he gets along well with other horses.
