About Lucy Loo

Lucy Loo was rescued by her previous owner and then placed with Bluebonnet when her owner had health problems.

Nothing is known of her history.

Health / Lameness

Lucy Loo has no known health or lameness problems.

Lucy Loo’s trainer advises against riding with spurs.  Lucy Loo does not need spurs and reacts poorly if they’re worn by her rider.

Lucy Loo will be competing under saddle in the professional division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with trainer Hilary LoBue.  She will be available for adoption starting on October 21, 2017 at the Challenge competition during the Bluebonnet Horse Expo in Austin, Texas.

You can follow their progress on their Facebook page.

Evaluation and Training

Lucy Loo is sweet and gentle to handle.  She stands well for saddling, bridling, and mounting.  She spent three months with trainer Hilary LoBue to prepare for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge.  Hilary has ridden her both in an arena and on trails. She has also hauled Lucy Loo to an obstacle competition where she did well.

Lucy Loo is a strong, powerful mare who is not for a novice or timid rider.  However with a confident rider she can be an excellent riding horse, trail horse, pleasure horse, or even working horse.
