About Miss Olivia

Miss Olivia was placed with Bluebonnet when her owner could not keep her.

History

Miss Olivia was used as a broodmare before coming to Bluebonnet.  Her former owner also said she was trained to ride, but we have not yet evaluated her.

Health / Lameness

Miss Olivia has no known health or lameness problems.

Other

She is a Morgan mare, although Bluebonnet does not yet have her papers.

Evaluation and Training

Miss Olivia’s former owner said she was broke to ride, she may have been ridden in the past, but it has been many, many years.  When she first arrived in the rescue, she was very nervous in new situations and hard to handle.  Her foster home can now easily catch and halter her.  She can handle/rub her all over and pick up her front hooves.

Miss Olivia’s foster home says, “She is great with me and with any visitors who have horse cookies. She blocks the way when people try to leave. She knows how to demand more cookies or scratches. She is a very unique personality.”

She would do best as a companion/pet.
