About Lilly of the Valley

Lilly of the Valley was placed with Bluebonnet when her owners could no longer keep her.

History

Lilly of the Valley was a pet and broodmare before coming to Bluebonnet.

Health / Lameness

Lilly of the Valley has no known health or lameness problems.

Other

Lilly of the Valley will be competing under saddle in the professional division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Camille Yoder.  She will be available for adoption starting on October 21, 2017 at the Challenge competition during the Bluebonnet Horse Expo in Austin, Texas.

You can follow their progress on their Facebook page.

You can learn more about Camille on her website.

Evaluation and Training

Lilly of the Valley was not broke to ride when she arrived at Bluebonnet.  She has spent June-October 2017 with trainer Camille Yoder to get started under saddle and prepare for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge.  Camille has ridden her both English and western.  They’ve ridden on trails and around cattle.  Camille has started Lilly jumping.

Camille feels that with more training, Lilly could excel in endurance or dressage.  She’s smart and learns quickly.  She can be a hotter horse, though, so she’s not for a timid or novice rider.
