About Dancer

Dancer was owned by a Thoroughbred breeder who died.  His family sent her herd to a “killer buyer”, and a rescue purchased Dancer and another mare from the “kill pen”.  They realized they were in over their head and unable to care for the mares, so they transferred them both to Bluebonnet.

History

Dancer was a race horse before becoming a riding horse and broodmare.

Health / Lameness

When Dancer arrived at Bluebonnet, she was emaciated.  She has no known health or lameness problems.

Evaluation and Training

Dancer is a sweet mare who does well out in a herd.  She stands for grooming, the farrier, hoof trimming, and blanketing.  She loads and leads well.  Her riding ability will be evaluated once she’s healthy.
