About Autumn

Autumn was placed with Bluebonnet when her owners could no longer keep her.

Autumn’s previous owners had her as a pet.

Health / Lameness

Autumn has no known health or lameness problems.

Evaluation and Training

Her previous owner was told she was only a broodmare, but she was evaluated by a trainer when she arrived at Bluebonnet.  They discovered she had been started under saddle and was rideable.  She was calm with the saddle, the rider, and the rider’s leg pressure.

Autumn is a sweet mare most of the time.  She has kicked at people, and she’s not a horse for a complete novice.

Autumn spent almost three months with trainer Kelly Lazo in the summer of 2019.  Kelly said Autumn does well as the walk and trot, and they went on some brief trail rides where she did fine.  She does not like to canter and bucks when asked to.  She would be best for a rider who wants to ride around the farm or do some trail riding and prefers to stick to a walk and trot.
