Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society

Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge 2014

ADOPTING A TRAINING CHALLENGE PROFESSIONAL DIVISION HORSE
Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society will be taking silent auction bids for select horses in the Training Challenge’s professional division only (all other available horses at the Bluebonnet Horse Expo will be adopted to the first pre-approved adopters who wants to adopt the horse).

Bids will be accepted from 8am on Saturday October 18th until 3:00pm and can be placed at the Silent Auction Bid Table by the stall area. All horses will start with a minimum $750 bid and a minimum $50 bid increment.

Adoption fees are half price at the Expo, so if your winning bid is $1,000, you will pay only a $500 adoption fee. Bids on each horse start at $750.

Bidding will end at 3:00 and the Adoption Coordinator will circle or highlight the highest bid on each form. All adopters will have until four to complete their adoption contract and pay their adoption fee or the horse will go to the next highest bidder. Once the contract is signed and adoption fee paid, the adopter is able to take his/her horse home. When adopting a horse, please bring the signed contract back to the Horse check in table to receive the horse’s coggins and health records and to check out. Horses can be moved out until 8pm on Saturday and arrangements can be made to move horses out between 9 and 11am on Sunday if needed.

Horses in the pro division:
Branigan O Blue, Wildfire, Abigail, Lyric, Mozart, Izarra, Canela, Aero, Kastanie, Laser, Red, Shimmer, and Fancy Dancer

ADOPTING HORSES NOT IN THE TRAINING CHALLENGE PROFESSIONAL DIVISION
Bluebonnet horses who are attending the Expo and are not being shown in the Professional Division of the Training Challenge will be available for adoption to the first pre-approved adopter who visits the Adoption Table, completes an adoption contract, and pays the adoption fee.

For horses in the Training Challenge, pre-approved adopters may not take them home until they’ve finished showing. All other available horses may be taken home once the contract is signed and fee has been paid. When adopting a horse, please bring the signed contract back to the Horse check in table to receive the horse’s coggins and health records and to check out.

Horses may be picked up until 7:30pm on Saturday evening. Arrangements may be made to pick horses up between 8am and 11am on Sunday as well.
