Apri 1-June 30 - Submit your Adopted Horse’s #whatrescuehorsescando Story and win prizes!

30 June 2018 Filed: Events and Fundraisers

For far too many years, rescuers have heard that rescue horses are “washed up”, “useless”, “not good for anything”, or “broken down”.  But those of us who have known rescue horses know this simply is not true.

Rescue horses have been unlucky in their lives:  some have been neglected, some have been abused, some weren’t handled well (or at all).  Others were abandoned or unwanted or headed to slaughter.

But once horses are rescued, those sad days are behind them.  From that day forward, they’re horses.  They have the same abilities, the same prospects, and the same worth as any other horse.

Horses adopted from Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society have gone on to be show horses, trail horses, working horses, driving horses, therapy horses, pets, friends, and companions.  They’ve done the same things other horses have done – they are just more special because they’re part of the Bluebonnet Family and have fans and friends around the world.

Now we want to show the world just what rescue horses can do with the #whatrescuehorsescando campaign.  We’re asking people who have adopted horses from Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society to submit their #whatrescuehorsescando story.  All submissions will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 Tractor Supply Gift Certificate.  Other prizes will be added as they’re received.
