About Starling
Starling was donated by her owner. She is a very sweet, lovely girl. She is cautious without being fearful. She has settled in well at her foster home and her curiosity is winning out over her shyness. She seems to be quite buddy sour with the herd-mate that she came with (BEHS 1231).
She was attacked by a hog in December 2020 and with some remaining rehabilitation needed.
Evaluation and Training
Starling was owned by one person most of her life. She was a beloved pet and handled well, but she was not trained to ride. She was trained for halter and was shown as a weanling and yearling at Arabian shows. She won a Reserve Championship at halter.
She knows how to lunge, lead, load, and stand tied. Since she’s had good handling all of her life, she could still be trained to ride – and she doesn’t know or act her age!
