About Matthew
This guy was donated to Bluebonnet when his owner could no longer care for him. Matthew also competed in the In-Hand Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with 2022 and was adopted, however he was returned in early 2023 for not getting along with another horse.
Matthew is competed in the In-Hand division of the 2023 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge.
Evaluation and Training
Matthew competed in the training challenge in 2022 where he was being handled and trained by a child (with adult supervision). He is easy to catch, lead, and load in a trailer. He stands tied and is good to groom, good for the farrier, and good for fly spraying. He lungs and line drives, and his young handler has introduced him to obstacle work. He’s going to be a great pet and companion and he could be trained to pull a cart or used for in hand obstacle competitions!
