Lizzie came to Bluebonnet from a neglect case, and not much is known of her handling or training before she arrived. She does like her pasture pals and can get a bit buddy sour, but she’s sweet with humans and good to handle on the ground. She’s good to catch, lead, load, and will stand for grooming and the farrier.

Lizzie was part of the Training Challenge in 2023, but after her trainer began working her, she became lame. A lameness evaluation by a veterinarian found that she was stiff in her hindquarters and would slightly drag her hoof on one rear leg when trotting. Her vet believes she’s fine in pasture but should not be ridden in the future.

Lizzie will be a sweet horse to pet, groom, and love, and she would be happy keeping another horse company.
