Nimbus’ former owner had him trained to ride. The owners were more novice and said Nimbus wanted to go fast under saddle. His foster “mom” decided to spend some time on ground work and developing a relationship before hopping on him.

He's good to catch and lead. When he arrived, he was pretty pushy with his handlers but he’s much more respectful now. He stands for grooming and the farrier, and he's been hosed off a time or two. He moved around a bit but after a few minutes he stood still and seemed to enjoy the cool water.

He stands well for saddling and takes a snaffle bit. He lunges and he line drives/ground drives beautifully.

His foster home has only gotten to ride him once due to the weather and too many foster horses. She said when she first mounted, he acted like he wanted to take off – and he might have with a more novice rider. She thinks he’s been allowed to do that in the past. She made him stand and relax, and then they were able to walk around the round pen. He started out nervous but after a while he started to relax, bring his head down, and move nicely. He’s going to need a confident rider for a while to help him learn to relax under saddle. He’s a big moving horse with a gorgeous stride. His foster home has ridden and shown Arabian horses, and she believes he has potential as a nice sport horse or dressage horse for someone willing to continue bringing him along.
