About Butters
Butter is a kind, gentle, older mare who has had a rough time the last few years. She was removed from negligent owners and then placed with Bluebonnet. When she arrived, she was emaciated, her coat was matted, and her mane was full of large knots. With patient grooming in her first foster home, Butters melted into the care—closing her eyes as if she’d been waiting for this attention for a long time. She’s blossomed with regular food, love, and handling, and is now ready for the next chapter of her life.
Butters is competing in the In-Hand 12 and Under Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Meghan Cory. Butters will be available for adoption on October 4, 2025, during the Bluebonnet Training Challenge and Expo at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor, TX.
