Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society is participating in Amplify Austin 2021 – a 24 hour period of fundraising for nonprofits in the Austin area. Our goal this year is to raise at least $15,000, and we already have $4,000 pledged in matching funds.
Your donations help rescue, rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome formerly abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses throughout Texas. Rocky (pictured) is a perfect example of the horses your donation helps: he came to Bluebonnet badly injured and neglected. After several veterinary visits and a minor surgery, he’s well on his way to being a happy, healthy young horse – something he hadn’t really experienced before.
We will be competing for part of a $25,000 match that will be distributed amongst the animal welfare causes based on how much each cause raises (the more we raise, the bigger the piece of the pie) as well as prizes and other potential gifts.
We also need individual fundraisers this year – those are passionate Bluebonnet horse lovers who help us raise funds. To do that, you create a fundraising page of your own and then share on social media, via email, on flyers, or any way you can think of to spread the word. Folks can begin scheduling donations now – and the first $4,000 in donations will be matched!
