This year has been a tough one for many people – and for many horses. With the increased cost of hay and grain\, fewer people can foster or adopt but so many horses need our help. Saying no to a needy horse or their desperate owner is so hard. \nOur goal this #GivingToHorses for #GivingTuesday is to raise $25\,000 to help the horses already in the rescue and to be able to bring more horses into the rescue this year and next year. We also want to continue helping horse owners who are experiencing a temporary financial hardship care for their horses so they don’t have to give them up. DESCRIPTION:The holidays are nearly here and we’re raising funds to help even more horses throughout 2023.  So far\, since we opened our doors\, we’ve taken in over 1\,310 horses – with several more on the way to the rescue before the year ends. And we know there will be many more horses needing our help. \nSadly\, rescuing horses is expensive and we need your help to give these formerly abused\, abandoned\, neglected\, and unwanted horses the help they need and deserve. \nFor 2022\, we expect to spend over: \n\n$90\,000 on veterinary care\n$10\,000 on farrier care\n$60\,000 on hay and grain (foster homes often donate the price of hay and grain or this figure out be higher)\n$18\,000 to transport horses\n$14\,000 helping horses whose owners are struggling to care for them (through euthanasia funds\, gelding funds\, or hay/feed)\n\nYour donation is so important to help us continue providing quality care to the horses who need us and to also help horses whose owners are struggling to care for them through a temporary financial hardship. \nYou can help us reach our goal with a donation via Paypal: \n\n \n \n \n\n\nOr donate via Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/donate/703093084423328/ \nThank you for your support – none of us can do this work alone\, but we do great things when we work together.
