About Deputy
Deputy was removed from a negligent owner by law enforcement and placed with BEHS. Once he regained weight, his foster home discovered he was broke to ride although a bit rusty. He was adopted as a pleasure and trail horse. Unfortunately he was returned in late 2012 through no fault of his. In December 2013, he met his adopters. They're getting back into horses and wanted a horse to ride occasionally and Deputy fit the bill. Congrats to Deputy and his new family!
Evaluation and Training
Deputy was ridden by his adopters on trails and in a field. Because of his occasional lameness, he should be limited to light to moderate riding.
Deputy loves to be around people and the attention from people. He gets along with all horses and people and would make a wonderful companion for a horse. He has no health problems and is an easy-keeper. He is easy to catch, lead, trailer, trim, and bathe and has not been known to buck, kick or rear.
