About Diablo

Diablo's dam, Aretha, was removed from negligent owners by law enforcement and placed with Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society by a humane society. She was pregnant when she arrived so Diablo was born in a foster home, so he has always had great care and handling.
His name comes from his ears being so turned in when he was born! He definitely the opposite of the devil! He is almost like having a puppy dog, loves to follow you and loves attention. He's has very laid back personality just like his mother.
Diablo’s foster mom wanted to adopt him, but she kept fighting the urge to adopt until the day she realized she couldn’t let him go! Congratulation to Diablo and his adopter!

Evaluation and Training

Diablo, don’t let the name fool you… he is a sweet, calm and patience “all in your pocket” kinda guy. He isn't spooky at all.
He has been working with his trainer on ground manners. They worked on walking over obstacles like logs, tarps, and standing on platforms.
He is a very willing to learn colt and is going to make someone a great horse.
Here are all the things he can do so far...
Ties Loads in the trailer usually loads himself. Let’s the ferrier trim is feet. It took a couple trims to realize he can stay balanced on 3 legs.
Knows some basics of lunging. Likes to give kisses. Like a puppy he sometimes chews on things you wish he wouldn’t
He wears a blanket just fine and is also good with fly spray.
Diablo won’t be ready to start under saddle just yet but he is getting a really good foundation built and is at a perfect age to adopt now, train on the ground and bond with. Then he will be ready to do anything once started under saddle.
