About America
America was rescued from starvation by S&S Ranch Rescue and then placed with Bluebonnet when S&S was closing its doors. Once she as rehabilitated, we discovered that she was a nicely trained riding horse. Her foster home decided to adopt her as her very first horse.
In September of 2020 we received word that America's adopter had to make the difficult choice to send her over the rainbow bridge. She had been colicky and her vet believed it was cancer. Her adopter sent this: "She was a good horse and we loved her so very, very much. She was my first horse and I am grateful for your organization for giving me the opportunity to have her in my life." Our sympathies go out to America's adoptive family!
