About Calico Sunshine
Calico Sunshine was surrendered to Bluebonnet when her owner could not care for her any longer.
She was adopted in 2020 and her adopter gave her away. Fortunately, the folks who have Callie contacted us and we were able to transfer the adoption to them. She's much loved in her new home!
Evaluation and Training
Calico Sunshine is quiet and calm. She loves her treats and will come up asking for them, but prefers not to be petted. She learned quickly which stall was hers and learned to come when called for her feedings. She is very much an easy keeper.
Calico Sunshine was halter trained by her former owner. They also reported that she was trained to drive at a young age but Bluebonnet has not been able to verify that information. Since she is an older mare she would be best suited to be a pampered pet and companion for someone.
She will kick out at dogs if they are overly rambunctious around her.
