About Dune

Dune was surrendered to Bluebonnet when his owner could not care for him any longer.

He hadn't had a lot of handling before coming to Bluebonnet, so he was enrolled in the Fall 2020 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge's in hand division.

Dune will be competing in the Non-Pro In Hand 12 & Up Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Kathy Swinson. He will be available for adoption at the Challenge during the Bluebonnet Horse Expo on October 17, 2020 in Taylor, Texas.

You can follow their progress on their Facebook page.

Evaluation and Training

Dune is very curious and is willing to try anything you ask of him. He’s never offered any resistance during training and will make a willing partner. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was very skittish and unwilling to be caught. With consistent handling, he now knows humans won’t hurt him. He’s a very sweet boy.
