Anna is a sweet and friendly mare. She was placed with Bluebonnet when her owner passed away and the family was unable to keep her.

Anna came to us with some lameness that was evaluated and it appears she has stringhalt. Her stringhalt combined with the fact that she’s not broke to ride means she was available for adoption as a pet only.

Anna was one of seven of our companion only/non-ridable horses that were adopted by one of our supporters. She had the space, time, support system and love to provide a sanctuary, and forever home, to some of the hardest to place horses. Anna, Reba, Tippy, Skeeter, Meadow, Herald, and Miss Pebbles all came to Bluebonnet from different neglect cases, and they all are unridable due to old injuries, age, or conformation issues.
