About Timber
Timber’s former owner rescued her. Unfortunately Timber did not work out for her owner, so she donated her to Bluebonnet. Nothing is known of her history before her donor purchased her. She was enrolled in the Spring 2021 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge in the professional division. Her trainer had to withdraw (no fault of Timber's) and Timber was quickly adopted by an adopter who had been waiting for just the right horse for years!
Evaluation and Training
Timber went straight to a trainer when she arrived at Bluebonnet to be part of the Spring 2021 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. Her trainer withdrew from the competition in March, but she put in a lot of work and time with Timber in the first 2 ½ months of 2021! Although Timber is still very green, she was being ridden at a walk, trot, and canter and learning to carry herself well with a rider on her back. She has an amazing stop (her rider needs to be ready!), and she is willing to work.
