About Quick Dandy
Quick Dandy was placed with Bluebonnet when his owners could no longer keep him.
He was part of the 2021 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and adopted by his Challenge partner. Unfortunately, while she had him, he was diagnosed with kissing spines. His vet did not feel he was a surgical candidate and felt he should no longer be ridden.
His adopter returned him months after his diagnosis when she could no longer keep him.
Evaluation and Training
While Quick Dandy was ridden in the past, he’s no longer rideable due to kissing spines.
However, he’s had a lot of great handling on the ground and can still do many in hand obstacles, is a nice pet, and can be a companion to a lonely horse. He’s good to groom, for the farrier, and to lead and load. He would love a “job” as someone’s pet and friend.
